John M. Yeager was educated in the Boulder Public Schools. He received a B.S. in petroleum engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1962, and his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1965, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the University of Colorado Law Review.

Mr. Yeager served as an officer in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General Corps from 1965 through 1968, followed by a year as a law clerk to the U.S. District Court in Butte, Montana. Mr. Yeager practiced law as an

associate with Davis, Graham & Stubbs in Denver from 1969 to 1970.

A founding partner of the firm in 1970, Mr. Yeager served as Gilpin County Attorney from 1971 through 1980. He taught as a visiting professor at the University of Colorado's Business School and Law School. Mr. Yeager has presented seminars in the area of county government law, land use regulation and real property taxation.

Mr. Yeager is licensed to practice law in the State Courts of Colorado and Montana and the United States District Courts of Colorado and Montana.
