 W. Harold "Sonny" Flowers, Jr. was educated in the Boulder Public Schools. He received a B.A. from the University of Colorado in 1967, and his J. D. from the University of Colorado in 1971.

Mr. Flowers practiced law for Legal Aid and served as a Deputy District Attorney for Adams County. He has been in private practice since 1978, joining the firm in 1997. 

Mr. Flowers has participated in various civic organizations including the Boy Scouts, radio station KGNU, the Boulder

County Board of Community Corrections, the Boulder Growth Task Force and the Boulder Board of Zoning Adjustment.  He served on the board of the University of Colorado Alumni Association (president in 1994-1995) and on the University of Colorado Foundation Board from 1995 through 2003.

Mr. Flowers has been active in numerous professional associations including the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (president in 1999-2000), the Colorado Bar Association (vice president in 2002-2003), the National Bar Association (vice president in 1990-1991), the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (board and executive committee member), the Sam Cary Bar Association (president in 1987) and the board of the Boulder County Bar Association (2003 to the present). He continues to serve on the executive committee of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. He frequently lectures on trial advocacy both statewide and nationally.

Mr. Flowers' practice is concentrated in litigation including personal injury, professional malpractice and criminal defense.

Mr. Flowers is licensed to practice law in the Colorado State Courts, the Fourth and Tenth Circuits of the United States Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
