Education

Tom Swett is a graduate of the University of Colorado, having received his B.A. in English and History. He received his J. D. from the University of Colorado where he served as an associate editor of the Law Review.

Experience

Mr. Swett served as a law clerk to the Boulder County Attorney's Office and clerked for the Hon. C. Vincent Phelps of the Colorado 17th Judicial District before joining the firm in 2000.

As a faculty member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, Mr. Swett teaches public and in-house courses in trial advocacy, negotiations, fact investigations, depositions and child advocacy.

Mr. Swett’s practice includes civil litigation, divorces and related issues, criminal defense, representing parents and students with school disciplinary issues, real estate contract matters and landlord tenant disputes.

Mr. Swett is licensed to practice law in the Colorado State Courts and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Mr. Swett is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Boulder County Bar Association and the Colorado Criminal Defense Association.
