About HS&B

Hurth, Sisk & Blakemore, LLP is a Colorado law firm defined by our commitment to integrity and our passion for the law. All four attorneys have received degrees from The University of Colorado and are deeply involved in the Boulder County and Colorado communities.

Our History

In 1970, Charles A. Hurth, Jr., and John M. Yeager formed a partnership of Hurth & Yeager. Hurth and Yeager became friends while attending law school at the University of Colorado and opened their office in Boulder.

In 1973, Charles Sisk joined Hurth and Yeager and the firm’s name changed to Hurth, Yeager & Sisk. The firm has continued to provide legal services in Boulder since its inception and has been generally recognized for its stability, continuity, and contributions to the legal community and to Boulder County.

Charlie Hurth and John Yeager have retired from the practice of law with Yeager retiring most recently on December 31, 2009. Hurth and Yeager will always be remembered for being outstanding lawyers, but from our own internal perspective, we are the beneficiaries of their mentorship and friendship.

As we enter our fourth decade of a law firm, we have four partners, Charles L. Sisk, Harold “Sonny” Flowers, Thomas A. Swett, and Stephanie L. Brennan together with our outstanding legal staff prepared to provide quality legal services of a wide breadth and professionalism, which is the embodiment of our firm.

Community

The attorneys and team members at HS&B have been, and are currently, involved in an array of civic and activities including:

  • Charles “Chuck” Sisk is the mayor of Louisville, Colorado, which was voted the best small town in the United States by Money Magazine in 2009. More >
  • Sonny Flowers was president of the University of Colorado at Boulder Alumni Association. More >
  • Tom Swett is a faculty member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. More >
  • Stephanie Brennan serves on the board of directors for a number of non-profit organizations. More >

The HS&B Team looks forward to continuing to effectively serve our clients and community.

Christopher W. "Kit" Blakemore

(1951-2008)

Christopher”Kit” Blakemore joined the firm in 1977, fresh from a clerkship with Justice Robert McWilliams. Blakemore’s name remains on the firm masthead, but our beloved Kit passed away all too early on September 1, 2008. The memory of Kit is etched in our hearts and he continues to be a prominent part of our firm.
